Since 1991, Southworth has been a different kind of club developer. Recognizing an opportunity to create a more inclusive private club experience, the company was founded to challenge the status quo. Our bold vision was the creation of a new breed of private clubs that were welcome to all and that fostered community, family, and fun. We began this journey with Willowbend in Cape Cod, and today, our legacy continues to evolve. For our members and residents, Southworth is a trusted curator of an elevated lifestyle whose clubs offer authentic community and connections—for a life well-lived.

    The Southworth Way

    Reimagining the private club experience.

Southworth is a lifestyle company dedicated to an overarching brand promise—The Southworth Way—that underpins our comfortable, unpretentious club communities. What started out as a code of conduct—unique among private clubs—fostering positive relationships, encouraging togetherness, and allowing each member and employee to feel welcomed, recognized and valued, has evolved to become our strategic approach to curating the world’s most connected club communities.

    Be & Belong

    True community and genuine belonging.

Southworth clubs are welcoming and fun-loving environments where members have the freedom to be themselves. Here, pretense and formality fall away. We create places where families put down roots, discover lifelong friends, and become part of a strong and connected community. Unrestrained by outside expectations, members are set free to share meaningful moments and create new traditions with family and friends.

    Your World At Play

    Discover extraordinary experiences, every day.

Southworth clubs are playgrounds where members can experience the fun of sport and recreation. Whether the idea of play is a round of golf, a competitive pickleball match, yoga on the beach, or wine tasting with friends, our clubs are places where members can choose how they want to play—each day. We provide robust programming for kids and immersive events for the entire family to enjoy—bonding generations while fostering individual exploration.

    Life At Ease

A welcome respite in a chaotic world.

Operating with a refined simplicity of service, our private clubs are destinations filled with ease and comfort. Our staff makes each member feel personally known and that their preferences are understood. We remove obstacles and curate personalized experiences within elevated environments that provide a relaxing atmosphere and an escape far from the demands of everyday life. This is effortless living that gives our members the asset of time to spend as they wish.

    Inspired Environments

Clubs that celebrate the authentic character of their settings.

It’s a given that Southworth clubs are places of astounding natural beauty. What’s most special is how each club community is a genuine reflection of its surroundings. Whether it’s the golf course design, culinary experiences, or architectural influences, our clubs are “of the place”—authentic locations brimming with an engaging character true to their surroundings.

A FAMILY legacy

Here are the keepers of our big dreams and bold ideas. Under the ownership of Joe Deitch and second-generation leadership of childhood friends Matthew Deitch and Tommy Southworth, the company is forging a new path in the private club industry. Together, they continue a legacy started by David Southworth more than three decades ago.
